1. I really need to use this more and not wait 6 mos to put up a new blog post. If for nothing more to focus on the beauty of everything around me that I take for granted and don't even notice half the time.
2. I need to STOP, not just SLOW DOWN but really STOP and look around and soak up the beauty of here and now and make memories every chance I get and to be more spontaneous. My life doesn't always have to be planned out and I don't always have to know what the future holds.
3. Haiden does not like me stopping and taking pictures of her while we are walking. She squeals or turns away from the camera.
3. I love this little face and the way she puts her sunglasses on her head. If I try to put them on her eyes she immediately moves them back up.
4. These little feet won't stay little for long...
These adorable sunglasses won't fit forever either, so I am going to soak in each moment I can while she is still a little baby, to me at least...
5. Today is just as good as any day to start making positive changes in my life... My mom bought me this when I graduated and I really looked at it the other day and its so true...I love it. Thank you mom!
6. I create my own happiness.

I am that only one who can truly change my own life. If I am not happy with something I can put it off like I have done many times before or I can choose to finally face it head on, deal with it and move past it. I have chosen to do this recently and it feels so relieving and I feel so free.
7. I cannot tell you how happy I am to be able to spend my days with my girls.
I have longed for this for YEARS, literally YEARS....and FINALLY it is my life. Many mornings I would drive to work and watch as mommas walked their babies in the cool morning air and I was honestly jealous because I wanted it so badly and now I have it and it is one of the best feelings in the world!
As hard as it was going back to work after Haiden was born, and believe me it was one of the hardest things I have EVER done, I really feel that I can appreciate even more now that I am able to be home with them. Not that I wouldn't have before but it truly brings to me another level of understanding of what it like to have to leave that little baby that you brought into the world a short time ago and be away from them. I hated it, hated it, hated it, hated it and I don't ever want to have to do that again!
This is my baby girl too! Since she was born she was always been to me, my miracle. I love her so much and yes at her age I do find myself getting frustrated with her a lot but I love her and I get lonely without her. I miss her when she always wants to go to Maw Maw and Pop Pop's instead of staying with me, especially at night when Steve is working. I don't like to be alone.
8. Even though he gets on my nerves alot and for many reasons, like:
-getting on my new nice red chairs
-sneaking on our bed and jumping down when we get home and open the door thinking we didn't hear the loud thud
-eye boogers, slobber and stinky farts
He is a good dog who loves us and protects us, or at least I think he would if it came down to it. He is a great walking partner even though he is out of shape and sometimes I have to drag him along with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. He makes me feel safer and at least he looks somewhat intimidating...
9. One of the things I love most about my hubby is...
His sense of humor...he ALWAYS makes me laugh, he is a big kid at heart and I need that because I am definitely the serious one. He lightens me up and helps me really enjoy life and reminds me that it doesn't matter what's going on because he is always there for me...day in and day out.
And although at times he tries to be funny when I don't want him to be, it's those times that I remember most and I wouldn't have it any other way.
10. It's not about quantity but about quality...
I love him so much and I often get frustrated that we don't get to spend every evening together like most husbands and wives. We don't get to have dinner together most nights and we can't just pick any day to be a date night because of his crazy schedule. But I am okay with that. I don't like it but I have accepted it. I am going to make the most of every moment that I can with him so even though the amount of time we get to spend with eachother isn't as much as I want, the quality of the time that we have together will carry us through. With possible changes coming for him in the next few months there is a good chance I may see him even less, who knows...but I am determined that I am not going to focus on that. I am going to focus on what is good and that is the love between us, the fun that we have when we are together and the two little girls that keep us laughing all the time.
When I sit and think and look back at what we have created, the choices that we have made that have gotten us to this point in our lives, I am proud. I am proud because when everyone was watching and waiting for us to fail, we prevailed. Now that wasn't without lots of hard work but it surely has paid off and made us so much stronger together and I feel like what Steve always says is so true. "We have been battle tested" and we have and I can honestly say I am glad we have because it has made us better people because of it.
And I look forward to all the new experiences, opportunities and memories that are headed our way.
Spring is my favorite and I love all the beautiful flowers that blossom!
